Abstract

Lightweight thermal insulation materials tend to undergo compression during service or under minor mechanical loads. To enhance mechanical performance and reduce deformation, material density is typically increased; however, this increases structural mass and production costs. In this study, the possibility of producing corrugated sheets from textile fabrics using various technological approaches and manufacturing thermal insulation materials from them was investigated. It was found that a corrugated structure improves the material’s mechanical and deformation properties without increasing either density or thermal conductivity. The density of specimens made from corrugated sheets ranged from 51.9 to 76.8 kg/m³, while their thermal conductivity varied between 0.0385 and 0.0535 W/(m·K). The primary factors affecting these parameters were the wave geometry and the adhesive layer’s properties. In contrast, sheets of the same composition but not bonded exhibited lower densities (29.8–51.3 kg/m³) and thermal conductivity values ranging from 0.0371 to 0.0530 W/(m·K).

Banguotų lakštų geometrinių parametrų įtaka termoizoliacinių medžiagų šiluminėms savybėms

Santrauka
