Directions of increasing competition in clothes and textiles industry on the basis of information technologies

Abstract

The importance of the clothes and textile sector in Lithuanian economy is discussed and declining trends of the sector values for the economy warns about the problems of competitiveness in the current economic conditions. The main factors behind the decline in the competitiveness of the sector are provided; and directions of the development, which are associated with the intensified use of information technologies to create new competitive advantages of the sector, are analysed.

Aprangos ir tekstilės pramonės konkurencingumo didinimo taikant informacines technologijos kryptys

Anotacija. Aptariama Lietuvos aprangos ir tekstilės sektoriaus svarba šalies ūkiui, pateikiamos pagrindinės sektoriaus reikšmės šalies ekonomikai mažėjimo tendencijos, įspėjančios apie konkurencingumo problemas, su kuriomis susiduriama dabartinėmis ekonomikos sąlygomis. Nagrinėjami pagrindiniai veiksniai, lemiantys sektoriaus konkurencingumo mažėjimą ir pateikiamos aprangos bei tekstilės sektoriaus plėtros kryptys, kurios siejamos su intensyvesniu informacinių technologijų naudojimu, siekiant sukurti naujus sektoriaus konkurencinius pranašumus.
