Optimization path of landscape architectural design based on PCA-SSA-BP algorithm
DOI: https://doi.org/10.3846/jeelm.2026.28338Abstract
With the acceleration of urbanization, the importance of landscape architecture design in improving the quality of urban ecological environment and the quality of life of residents is becoming more and more prominent. To enhance the scientificity and practicability of the landscape design scheme, the study uses principal component analysis to downscale the multidimensional data of landscape architecture. It also combines Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA) to optimize the initial weights and biases of Back Propagation (BP) neural network, so as to realize the accurate evaluation and adjustment of the design scheme. Meanwhile, the performance of the algorithm is verified on the Garden Buildings and WHU Building datasets. The experimental results showed that the mean square error of the BP neural network optimized by the sparrow algorithm was 0.1228, and the mean absolute error was 0.2321. Meanwhile, the accuracy and recall rate of this algorithm after convergence were significantly higher than those of PSO-BP, GA-BP and BP, with values of 0.946 and 0.951, respectively. In addition, the algorithm performed well in terms of vegetative coverage enhancement, space utilization improvement, and visitor experience enhancement. After the specific optimization of this algorithm, the vegetation coverage rate increased by 14.5%, and the space utilization rate increased by 13.2% and 14.8%, respectively. The findings demonstrate that the sparrow algorithm-optimized BP neural network can efficiently handle complicated multidimensional data, optimize the landscape design scheme, and improve user experience and ecological value. The study provides a scientific, efficient and data-driven optimization method for landscape architecture design, which helps to promote the digital transformation and sustainable development of the landscape design industry.
