Two Area Preserving Maps from the Square to the p-Ball

Abstract

We construct two area preserving maps from the square to the p-ball (the domain defined by |x|^p + |y|^p ≤ |a|^p ) and use them to obtain low distorted uniform grids on the p-ball.
